I love celebrating my birthday. Some people stop celebrating when they turn a certain age because they don’t want to acknowledge that they are getting older; but I’m not like that. I’ll still be wearing a party hat when I turn 80 and I’ll go around telling strangers that it’s my birthday.

Come on! There’s cake, you get presents and hey you didn’t die this year. Drink to that.

I have a confession to make. My birthday is in December, so I have almost two months before I turn 23. But I already know how, where, when and with whom I’m going to celebrate it. Everyone is sort of invited already.

I’m horrible.

I love to do something fun or weird with my friends. So let’s talk birthday parties. Here are 6 things you can do with your friends to make the day unforgettable.

6 Things You Can Do On Your Birthday

6 Things You Can Do On Your Birthday

High Tea

This is my sophisticated party option. Eat scones and sip tea with your pinky up.

You can always throw a dinner party or go to a restaurant. I went out to dinner with friend on my 18th and 21th birthday. It was nice to be served. You don’t have to worry about anything (except the check), just chat, have fun and eat that dessert even though you haven’t got any room left for it.

Cooking Class

I’m a horrible cook and so are some of my friends, so I have considered this. I think it can be a lot of fun to learn how to cook together. Especially when you get to eat everything you made after the class is over.

Pie Baking Class

Everyone loves pie (that’s so not true), so why not learn how to bake and decorate a pie.

Burlesque Class

Dare to do something that makes you feel uncomfortable. You might enjoy it in the end.

Last year, I dragged my friends to a PoleFit (Pole Fitness) class. At the beginning everyone thought it was super weird and nobody felt really comfortable, but in the end we had a blast. It even turned out that some of us were very good at it.

Cocktail Making Class

Always wanted to know how to make a Cosmo? Now you can. This birthday party can turn into an amazing girls’ night out.

Disco Bowling

I love bowling. It’s fun, relaxing, and I always win. Honestly, all my friends are just really bad at it. I need to find a worthy opponent.

Love, Izzy
