I love trying out new beauty products from time to time, but over the years I also fell in love with certain beauty products that I now can’t live without. I make sure to squeeze out the very last bit of product before it goes in the bin.
This week I decided to share the 6 beauty products I always restock. I’d be surprised if not one of these is on your favorites list.
6 Beauty Products I Always Restock
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade
THE EYEBROW HYPE CONTINUES! And I don’t think it will ever go away. Brows can make or break your entire makeup look; we know that now. And trust me, I’ve had a couple of brow disasters myself.
It took me quite a while to figure out how to properly fill in my brows using this product and sometimes I still mess up completely. We all have our off days I guess, but filling in my brows at 7AM is never a good idea unless I have proper lighting.
I figured that it’s actually really easy to apply if you dip your angled brush in some water first. Lightly feather it into your brows and voila. You’re ready to go.
Sephora Smoothing Primer
This primer goes well with my dry and sensitive skin. It keeps the makeup on my face and doesn’t make me break out. What more can I ask for?
The primer has a gel-like texture and it feels kind of silicony, but it dries really quickly.
It’s small, sturdy and has a pump dispenser which makes it great for traveling.
Emite Make Up BB Highlighting Pen Almo
I love highlighting pens and thanks to this one I look awake at 7AM in the morning.
Highlighting pens are so easy to use. I use this pen to quickly and easily lighten the area around my eyes, but you can also use it to contour your cheekbones or your nose (I usually use my Smashbox Step-By-Step Contour Kit for the last two though).
This highlighting pen only comes in two shades Almo (Pink) and Coco (Yellow), but they really seem to blend in with your own skin tone.
Benefit High Beam
Yeah, I kind of like highlighter, can you tell?
The Emite highlighter is great, but I use it more like a concealer. It doesn’t give you that dewy look that I sometimes want to achieve.
That’s where High Beam comes in. I often apply it on the apples of my cheeks to get that nice healthy glow.
Bronzer and blush simply doesn’t look good on me. I’m too pale for those (Someone once asked me if I got punched in the face when I wore bronzer. Not good). At least highlighter loves me.
L’Oreal True Match Foundation
I somehow immediately gravitated towards the True Match foundation when I purchased my first foundation in grade 10.
At that point in life I only wanted a foundation that would cover up my acne. I had no idea which shade I needed, so I just grabbed a random bottle and went home.
The foundation was too dark and at that time in life I also rocked the famous foundation line. Good times.
At least I wasn’t orange… I think.
I still love this foundation (now that’s I’m rocking the right shade). It provides great coverage and lasts all day.
It’s no secret that I like MAC lipsticks; the shades and formulas are great and they are super longwearing, but my all-time favorite has to be Twig because it’s a great everyday lipstick.
I’m still looking for the perfect mascara and liquid eyeliner. Just haven’t been able to find something I really love yet. Let me know if you have!
