Hello all you lovely people. What is everyone up to? I’m drowning in deadlines, but I’m still doing good :D.
It’s almost March already! February went by waaay too fast, don’t you think?!
It was a geeky kind of month for me. Most of the stuff that made me pretty happy have to do with games and comics haha.
I might take lots of pictures of makeup on my Instagram, but deep inside I will always be a geek.
February: 5 Happy Things
Imagine Dragons ended their tour in Amsterdam and obviously I had to be there.
These guys are great live! The CD doesn’t do them justice. Some of the songs that I thought I didn’t like were flippin’ amazing live!
Dan is their only lead singer, but Daniel, Ben and Daniel (yup, two Daniels) had their drum, bass and guitar solos. That was great to watch.
They even played pranks on each other and Dan couldn’t stop laughing at some point. Only when his band members looked away could he sing again.
I love them.
From the studio that inexplicably sewed his f*** mouth shut the first time comes five-time Academy Award viewer, Ryan Reynolds in an eHarmony date with destiny. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you… me! Deadpool.
I have one word for you: A-MAZE-BALLS.
I had high expectations and they delivered.
Weasel: That’s the sh** emoji. You know the turd with the smiling face and the eyes. I thought it was chocolate yogurt for so long…
The X-men references.
Colossus: You will come talk with professor Xavier.
Deadpool: McAvoy or Stewart? These timelines can get so confusing.
Deadpool: [Commenting on her shaved head] Ripley from Alien 3!
Negasonic Teenage Warhead: F**, you’re old!
More X-men references.
Deadpool: [to Colossus] Tell Beast to quit sh**ng on my lawn!
It was great.
The whole movie makes you laugh right from the start.
Some things might have been a little too much and downright vulgar. But luckily I am not squeamish or easily offended.
Harley Quinn Cosplay Almost Ready
I used to watch anime and read manga, I love superheroes, and I love Comic Con, but I have never cosplayed.
It’s supposed to be a lot of fun, but also quite expensive. Still, I decided to give it a shot.
So at the next Dutch Comic Con I’m going to be Harley Quinn. And I’m kind of scared, to be honest. What if it looks awful haha.
I can’t do her voice, but I got the wig and the jester outfit (mostly, still missing some parts, but hey it’s my first time. Give me a break. A for effort, you know).
We’ll see how it goes.
I said on Twitter that I was puppy sitting and this is the pup I was talking about!
Meet our little Oskar. (Can I just put it out there that I didn’t agree with the spelling of OSCAR’s name.)
He isn’t mine technically, he is my grandma’s monkey–I mean puppy (who looks like a monkey). But since he isn’t 15 weeks old yet, we can’t send him to my grandma in Estonia yet.
Yup, he is going on an adventure. Don’t worry, we are taking him ourselves so he won’t freak out on the plane.
Wish we could keep him, but we already have a doggie called Pip (the one that’s lurking in the background).
Marvel LEGO Avengers
I can’t properly function without these games anymore. I need them in my life haha. They are so much fun to play.
All these LEGO games basically follow the story line of a movie, like Pirates of the Carribean, The Hobbit or Harry Potter (and many more).
So you’re a character in a movie! Walk around Middle-earth, Hogwards. Play quests, learn spells, do whatever Bilbo or Harry had to do to save the day.
When they announced LEGO Avengers I knew I had to play it as well.
I’m seriously impressed by this game. Not only do you get to walk around New York like in the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game, but they’ve also built Tony’s house in Malibu, Sokovia, Hawkeye’s muthaflippin’ farm, and wait for it: ASGARD.
My little geek heart almost exploded when I saw that.
Of course I finished playing the game within a week (a).
Can’t wait to see what LEGO will bring me next time.
