It’s safe to say that the movie industry will earn a lot of money this year. It seems like all the amazing movies are coming out right now.

I want to see a gazillion movies in 2016 like Assassin’s Creed, Now You See Me 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-Men Apocalypse and Doctor Strange.

Those are only the movies that I’m mildly excited about.

The ones below are the ones that I’m DYING TO SEE! I have to share this with you guys because I simply can’t contain my excitement and I need someone to fangirl with.

6 Movies I’m Dying to See in 2016

Captain America: Civil War

Keep those Superhero movies coming, ladies and gents. I will never get enough of them!

I’m a 100% sure that Robert Downey Jr. will be Iron Man until he turns into a skeleton, and I will keep watching these movies until I’m one too.

Some of the critics are actually saying that this might be the best Marvel movie yet. I now hope that the movie will exceed my already high expectations.

If you’re not familiar with these movies and you have no idea what Civil War is about or why everyone is all of a sudden taking sides, then let me quickly explain it to you.

In the comics, the government passes a Superhero Registration Act. This means that every person with superpowers will have to reveal their identity to the government and work for them. Superheroes won’t be allowed to go out on their own anymore and fight crimes whenever they see fit. They will work for the government and undergo proper training and yada yada yada. They will also get paid and yeah it doesn’t sounds all too bad, right?

But, in the comics people value their secret identity a lot more than in the movies. And, come on, I wouldn’t want everyone to just know my secret identity. I now revealed which side I am on. I’m on Team Cap.

Captain leads the anti-registration side and Tony is our pro-registration guy.

That’s when all hell breaks lose. Superheroes start fighting superheroes. Bad guys join the government to hunt down superheroes. Tony builds a PRISON to LOCK UP his superhero FRIENDS!

I think Iron Man, in the comics at least, will seem more like the bad guy. Though I am sure that the movie will twist and turn things in a away so that viewers will get where both sides are coming from.

I can’t wait to see this movie. I’m going to a Captain America Marathon on the 27th. That should be a lot of fun! I love watching movies with a bunch of fans who will undoubting scream, shout and maybe even cry along with me. I say cry because someone is supposed to DIE in this movie. And it’s supposed to be someone BIG aka one of the Avengers!

I know who dies in the comics and no I will not spoil it, but I’m guessing the producers might decide to kill someone else. I don’t know. I really don’t. It’s a total mystery (Not really. Some people have already seen it and stuff has already been leaked, so if you want to know who dies you only need to google it).

Are you going to see Civil War?! If so, let me know which team you’re on!

Me Before You

I’m on team Cap not because I love Chris Evans (I do love him though), but because I agree with his side in this war. Buuuuuut I do want to see Me Before You simply because Sam Claflin is in it.

Yeah, I think he’s handsome, charismatic and downright cute.

Enough of that.

In all honesty, I haven’t seen a tear-jerking drama in a while and I’m kind of in the mood for one.

In Me Before You a what seems fun and bubbly girl will have to take care of a paralyzed man. What I can gather from the trailer is that she will fall in love with him and he might die… Not good.

It kind of reminds me of that French movie The Intouchables, which I loved. I’m hoping Me Before You will be just as good. Maybe I shouldn’t even compare them, but I guess we’ll see.

I’ve heard that Me Before You is a novel by Jojo Moyes. I might add it to my list. Has anyone read it? Is it good?

Suicide Squad

When the first Suicide Squad trailer came out, I was like meh. I mean, Will Smith had this super cringy line where he goes ‘so we’re some kind of Suicide Squad?!’ Like DUH, it’s the name of the movie. We got that. You don’t need to point it out.

You can imagine that at that point I had lost all hope for this movie.

But, I take it all back. They have redeemed themselves thanks to the second trailer (which had a great soundtrack!) and the third trailer (which was downright awesome!).

Now I’m super excited for this movie.

Basically, some secret government agency gets a bunch of supervillains together to execute the most dangerous missions.

We have Killer Croc, who is, well, a killer and moreover a cannibal. There’s Deadshot, an assassin, who knows his way around a gun. Boomerang, an assassin who used boomerangs. I’m guessing he might be the funny guy in the group. El Diablo, who can summon flames, and of course we also have the lovely, funny, scary, super crazy HARLEY QUINN!!

There are a couple of other characters in this movie, but I’m not sure what the producers have in store for them. I’m not even sure who the villain is. I mean, we see the Joker. He shoots at stuff and goes for a joyride with Harley, but we also see some weird neon-like dude in the subway. So, who is the real villain? I don’t know and I don’t want to google it, because I might read spoilers and I don’t want that hahaha.

Still, I love the whole idea of a Suicide Squad; they can do some real damage.

Alice Through the Looking Glass

I may have mentioned somewhere that I am going through an Alice phase. I’ve been loving everything Alice lately, so I also want to see this movie.

I thought the first one was cute. I can’t say that I thought it was amazing because it wasn’t. But it’s still fun to watch once in a while.

This time Alice has to save the Mad Hatter in a race against Time! Not sure if she’s going to pull it off. I mean, she kills Humpty Dumpty in the trailer. Dear Alice, you had enough time to grab Humpty by the hand to make sure that he wouldn’t fall… hopeless. That was mean (a).

The trailer does seem to promise a lot of action. The more action the better! I’m looking forward to this.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Do I really have to explain myself over here? We all grew up reading Harry Potter, and if you didn’t then I would really recommend to read them RIGHT NOW. You’re missing out on a wonderful adventure full of love, friendship and magic.

We’ve going to get a glimpse of the world way before Harry was born. It’s 1926 and we’re following the story of a guy called Newt Scamander. At the beginning of the trailer it’s all about the suitcase, which holds a bunch of magical and most likely dangerous creatures, who will obviously escape from the suitcase haha. Poor Newt. He’ll have to correct his mistake while the tension between wizards and muggles arises.

Practically all of my friends can’t wait to see this movie. They all individually tagged me in the same trailer post on Facebook. That was kind of funny. Every Facebook update was exactly the same: ‘IZZY DID YOU SEE THIS!!!’

I’m sure that this movie will be great! I’m glad we don’t have to say goodbye to the wizarding world just yet.

Which movies are you dying to see this year? Are we fangirling over the same ones, or are you more excited about a movie I haven’t mentioned? Let me know in the comment section below.

Love, Izzy
