April just went by like that *snaps fingers*. The older I get the faster the time seems to go. Am I the only one experiencing this?

At least it reminds me to get the best out of life.

I practically finished uni in April. Passed all my classes, so the only thing left to do is to write a dissertation (or thesis, whichever name you prefer).

This means that I’ll be stuck at home or the library most of the time in May and June haha. Not really looking forward to that. But, in general, I don’t really hate writing a dissertation. It’s kind of like your blog. You get what you put into it.

April has been quite a good month. I did some great stuff, like cosplaying at the Dutch Comic Con and meeting Hilly and Hannah from The Hillywood Show. I also made some exciting plans for the future, which you can read below.

5 Happy Things

Let’s start with the little things that made me happy this month. Something simple as a sheet mask!

TONYMOLY is a Korean beauty brand and most of the English bloggers that I follow have all fallen madly in love with Korean beauty products. As far as I know, this new obsession hasn’t reached the Netherlands yet, but it has reached me.

One of my friends went on a holiday to Seville and she popped into a Sephora to get TONYMOLY sheet masks for me to try! I’m so grateful for this. I can’t thank her enough.

I love sheet mask, and all kind of face masks in general. Every Sunday I have a little pamper session where I either become a green monster or I pop a sheet mask on my face and relax.

The sheet mask in the picture is a rice mask. I’m a big fan of rice. A couple of years ago, I started using rice flour in one of my favorite DIY masks. Whenever I use this mask, my complexion becomes brighter and smoother. The red areas disappear. The TONYMOLY sheet mask had the exact same effect. The benefit of having a sheet mask with the same properties is that it isn’t as time consuming as making your own mask. So I would love to stash a couple of these in my bathroom.

I also just want to applaud TONYMOLY because this sheet mask isn’t too big for my face. All the sheet masks I try are HUGE. My head isn’t that big, you guys!

I have one more of these babies lying around somewhere. The avocado mask. Can’t wait to try it. Have you tried any of these yet?

Booked a trip to London

Some places you never get bored of and London is that place for me!

I’ve been to London two or three times and I still haven’t seen everything. There is so much to discover.

I’m obviously going to raid every Boots store in sight (the Netherlands doesn’t have a Boots nor a Sephora so we’re missing out on some amazing beauty brands.) and the friend I’m going with really wants to go to platform 9¾ at King’s Cross, but apart from that we don’t really know what we want to do.

We’re thinking about going to Molly Bakes to try diabetes in a cup. I mean, a freakshake. Those huge mason jar milkshakes topped with brownies, marshmallows, cookies and what not. I kind of want to see Covent Garden since I’ve never been there either. And a trip to the Disney Store is a must.

As you can tell nothing is really set in stone yet; but we’re two Harry Potter, Disney and cake/food obsesses girls in our twenties, if you’ve got some places or stores to recommend then fire way!

And of course we are going to the Harry Potter Studio Tour.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London.

I’m beyond excited for this. Every Harry Potter fan needs to go here and I’m finally going.

I can’t wait to walk on set, drink butterbeer, and spend all my money on HP merch.

The friend I’m going with already made a whole list of things she wants to buy. I think both of us need to go on a spending ban, so we’ll have money to spend at the Studio. I’ve heard that it’s really expensive.

Harry Potter

I want all the sweets (every flavor beans, lollipops, and chocolate frogs) and a sweater haha. Maybe even a wand, but I don’t know which one to pick. I’ve been told that the wand chooses the wizard, so I guess I’m just going to stand there and wait for that special wand moment.

Visited an Escape Room

‘Is anyone claustrophobic?’

‘I guess we’ll find out.’

Who would want to get locked in a tiny room with no windows and crappy lighting alongside 5 crazy friends? My friend, Zazi!

She decided that it’s a fun thing to do on her birthday. I didn’t mind going. I even though it would be fun, but at the same time I warned her that I would be useless to them.

I’m not good at puzzles or math and that’s what you often need in those rooms to get out. How do you get out? You find the key to the door. And you only got one hour.

It turned out that I wasn’t as useless as I thought!!! I did not solve any of the equations, but I did find two keys. One of the keys was inside a typewriter. I was messing around and thought I broke it, but it had a key in it #GoMe. I also solved one chess puzzle, while I don’t even play chess. In the end, I think I did good and we got out with 15 minutes to spare!

It’s fun to see everyone run around the room and scramble for stuff. It’s also a little stressful because you want to succeed while the clock keeps ticking.

Captain America Marathon

Before we do this, let me take a minute to remind people that they are not alone in the cinema. Be nice to the people around you and keep your mouth shut during the movie. I don’t mind an occasional outburst of laughter or chatter when something funny, exciting or shocking is happening, but please don’t talk or make noises during the entire movie.

I was sitting next to a Bucky fangirl at the Captain America Marathon last week. When Bucky was on, that girl squealed. When he did something cool, she went ‘yaas’ (FIY, I now hate the word yas). I wanted to go Romanov on her and silence her quickly and quietly so the rest of us could enjoy the movie. People asked her politely to be quiet, but she kept going. She even mumbled along with the second movie. Great that you know all the lines to Winter Soldier, but SO DO I and I still kept my mouth shut.

Black WIdow

Bottom line: show some respect to the people around you.

Rant over.

I had high expectations for this movie. I mean, I only read positive reviews everywhere. All the critics said it was amazing, and all the movie websites I visited gave it a 5/5.

And you know what. It. was. the best! (minor spoilers below)

I have nothing bad to say about it. The chemistry between Vision and Scarlet Witch!! I loved it. Romanov’s moves! Amazing. Cap’s and Bucky’s friendship! -faints-. That scene with Falcon and Bucky waiting for Cap and Sharon in that little car. Fantastic. Ant-Man going Godzilla on Team Iron Man. Perfect. And last but not least I even liked SPIDER-MAN. And I hate Spider-man. But that kid did a great job. Wish I could go again.

So what have you guys been up to lately?

Love, Izzy
